Why Shopify POS
Everything under one roof
Orders, inventory, pricing, and customers — all in one place. No switching between systems, no duplicates, no confusion.
True omnichannel
Click-and-collect, in-store returns of online orders, reservations, and exchanges. Customers enjoy the same seamless experience everywhere. And so does your team.
One customer, always
It doesn't matter whether they bought online or in store. Loyalty points and benefits work across all channels, giving you a clear picture of their purchase history.
Real-time inventory
You see everything in real time, without unnecessary chaos. Whether it's stocktakes via a barcode scanner, transfers between locations, or ship-from-store — inventory always adds up.
Scale from a pop-up to a chain
Locations share settings and configuration, so opening new stores is just as fast whether you have two or twenty.
Finally, all your numbers in one place
Revenue, margins, and location performance — all in one place. And with exports and BI integrations, you can make decisions based on data, not gut feeling.
More features and benefits
An admin that finally doesn't hurt
Forget slow, bloated systems that make you feel like you're using a tool from the last century. Shopify Plus offers a fast, intuitive environment designed for people and growing businesses.
Discounts and promotions
Managing discounts, multi-packs, and time-limited promotions is a challenge even for experienced teams. In Shopify POS, you set everything up once — and from that point on, combinations and rules handle themselves. Results are clearly visible in reports.
Gift cards and store credit
Gift cards and store credit sync across your online store and physical locations. Top-ups, refunds, and gifts are equally easy for customers wherever they are.
Offline? The register keeps running
Internet down? No problem. Transactions are saved locally and sync once reconnected. Your team keeps selling and customers notice nothing.
Team and roles under control
Assign permissions by role, handle sign-ins via PIN, and track staff performance in one place. Set clear rules for discounts, returns, and end-of-day closing to prevent misunderstandings.
Scanning, labels, and receiving stock
Receive stock and run stocktakes by scanning, print prices and labels directly from POS, and reprice in a few clicks. Transfer stock between locations without any spreadsheets.
What we can handle for you
Before we start, we verify everything
We review which payment methods and devices Shopify supports in your market. We fine-tune currency, taxes, and receipts to match local regulations. And we configure POS so your first location runs smoothly from day one.
How much Shopify POS costs
The price consists of 4 independent components. We'll calculate it together based on your sales model.
Shopify plan
from CZK 670/mo
The foundation for your online store and back office (Basic, Shopify, Advanced). We help you choose the right plan for your business model.
POS app
Lite free · Pro CZK 1,960/location
Lite is sufficient for pop-ups and simple selling. Pro unlocks advanced features for permanent retail locations.
Card payments
from 1.6% + CZK 6.50
With Shopify Payments, rates vary by channel (B2B / retail / online). In countries where Shopify Payments is unavailable, a third-party provider handles payments.
Hardware
from CZK 1,150 one-time
Readers, terminals, Tap to Pay. Purchase price depends on the number of registers and store setup.
Monthly cost = Shopify plan + POS app + transaction fees. Hardware is a one-time purchase.

What people ask us most
Can I use Shopify POS without a public online store?
Yes. You need a Shopify account (plan), but you don't have to have the online store enabled. POS can operate independently for selling at physical locations or pop-ups.
Does Shopify POS work in my country?
In most countries, yes; the availability of payments (Shopify Payments, Tap to Pay) and local features depends on the specific country. We'll verify and recommend a local solution.
What about fiscal compliance (electronic cash registers, etc.)?
This varies by country legislation. Shopify POS is not a "fiscal cash register" for all markets, but we can integrate local solutions/partners or recommend a process to ensure your operations are legally compliant.
How much does Shopify POS cost?
POS Lite is included with all Shopify plans (USD 0). POS Pro costs USD 89/month/location; plus transaction fees for payments depending on country/provider and one-time hardware costs.
On Shopify Plus, POS Pro is included free for all locations. You only pay transaction fees and hardware.
What hardware do you recommend?
Most commonly the Shopify POS Terminal / WisePad 3, compatible printers (Star/Epson), barcode scanners, and iPad/iPhone/Android. We'll tailor our recommendations to your country and budget.
Does POS support multiple locations and separate inventory?
Yes. Each location has its own inventory and settings; with POS Pro, a fee is charged for each physical location.
Does POS work offline?
Yes. Basic sales and order saving work without an internet connection; everything syncs once you reconnect. Some actions (e.g. card refunds, gift cards) require online access.
Is Tap to Pay available without a card reader?
In supported countries, you can accept cards directly on iPhone or select Android devices. In other countries, you'll use a compatible card reader.
Can POS handle returns and exchanges for online store purchases too?
Yes. Unified order history allows returns and exchanges across channels (BOPIS/ROPO). The refund method follows the original payment method.
What if Shopify Payments isn't available in our country?
You can use an external terminal and record an "External payment" in POS (with limited reporting/refund features). We can recommend alternatives or integration partners for your market.
Does POS support mobile selling outside the store (events, pop-ups)?
Yes. Shopify POS works on iPhone, iPad, and Android, so you can sell outside a physical store — markets, events, pop-ups, or B2B presentations.
Offline mode lets you sell even without a stable internet connection; transactions sync automatically once reconnected. Inventory and customer data remain unified across all sales locations. Some features (gift cards, online card payments) require connectivity.
Can we migrate data from our current POS system?
Yes, data migration is a standard part of the implementation. We'll transfer customers, products including SKUs and prices, transaction history (if needed for reporting or warranties), and inventory and location settings.
Before migration, we map the data structure of your current system and verify data quality. We run a test migration, review the results, and only then go live.
If you need to retain access to the old system for archival data, we'll design a solution for parallel operation or export of historical reports.
